My name is Santa, and this is my little blog where I share my love for baking and cooking. This space is mostly filled with food and sweet things - but every now and then, I trade the oven for mountain trails ⛰️
I’m Santa. (Yes, like Santa Claus—trust me, the jokes never end 😄). Welcome to my little food corner on the internet. Around here, it’s mostly about baking—cakes, breads, pastries—but I sneak in a few lunch, dinner, and breakfast ideas too.
Food isn’t just something I do; it’s something I’ve grown up with. My childhood was spent in my parents’ bakery, where the smell of fresh bread was basically the family perfume. I was the kid helping, selling, and quietly learning all the tricks. That bakery shaped the way I see food today.
A lot of my recipes are also inspired by my Eastern European roots, so you’ll find a mix of familiar classics and a few flavors with a twist. This blog is where I get to pass all of that on—recipes, stories, and ideas you can bring into your own kitchen.
What started as simple curiosity grew into something much bigger. Baking eventually took me all the way to Paris, where I studied at Le Cordon Bleu. That’s where I got into the details - the flavors, the textures, and the little finishing touches that turn a dessert into something special.
When I wasn’t in class, I was “studying” the best way I knew how: hopping from bakery to bakery, tasting croissants, pain au chocolat, and anything else behind the glass case. Paris left a lasting mark, and the chefs I met there pushed me to keep leveling up.
Baking stopped being just a skill and became more of a creative outlet - a way to relax, express myself, and share something good with others. That’s the same feeling I want this blog to carry. The recipes you’ll find here are approachable, reliable, and packed with flavor. Hopefully, they’ll inspire you to try something new in your own kitchen. And who knows—you might just fall for baking the same way I did.
When the oven is off and the mixing bowls are clean, the best place to be is outdoors. Hiking is how I recharge and reset. Fresh air, long trails, and a bit of adventure always do the trick. Big peaks make my heart beat faster—in the best way. There’s something about reaching the top that feels both exciting and calming at the same time. I love the little rush of adrenaline that comes with steep climbs. Each hike brings a new memory, whether it’s a view, a path, or a challenge.
